BOOTS have angered fans with their latest summer advert due to the song they used for the 40-second clip.
In a bid to get the public to go to the pharmacy chain for all their summer essentials, the clip features the well known Christmas track, I Wish It Could Be Christmas by Wizzard.
While the tune has stayed the same, the lyrics have been altered to make way for more appropriate summer vibe, including the change from “When the snowman brings the snow,” to “When the sun begins to shine.”
Along with images of people enjoying the sun by the pool, the voiceover can be heard singing the chorus, “Well I wish it could be summer every day. So let’s all sing out for summer,” replacing the iconic line from the festive track.
